Boro farming likely to be reduced: Jhenaidah farmers leaning towards vegetables cultivation

Jhenaidah Correspondent :The farmers in Jhenaidah have been reducing the area of Boro farming in the current season and leaning towards lentil, wheat, onion and maize. The area of Boro farming might be reduced to 75,000 hectares as against last season’s target for 83,601 hectares. Last season the farmers in the district had brought 83,601 hectares of land under the farming.Least price of Transplanted Aman paddy was mainly liable for the situation, said the farmers and department of agriculture extension...
