A faction of Chittagon University Chhatra League Unit on Thursday held a press conference demanding exemplary punishment for the arrested key accused Ashrafuzzaman Asha as well as all other accused in the Tapos murder case.
The organiser of press conferrence is known as the followers of ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury.They presented a 6-point demand for the exemplary punishment of Taposh killers, permanent exemption from the University and installation of Taposh memorial in the university Campus.
Tapos Sarker , an activist of CU unit Chhatra League and a first year student of Music Department of CU , was killed on the university campus in a clash between between Choose Friend with Care ( CFC) and Varsity Express
(VX), two factions of the ruling party student wing, on December 14, 2014.
Hafizul Islam, a first year student of Music department of CU also friend of Tapos, filed the murder case accusing 55 persons mentioning 30 BCL activists name and 20 unnamed.
on 2, 2017 investigation Police Bureau, investigation team of the case , submitted a charge-sheet to a Chittagong court accusing 29 people in the Tapos murder case.Of them, police arrested 16 at different times while 13 others were still escaped.
Ashrafuzzaman, the key accused in the case yesterday appeared before the court to take bail and his bail application rejected. Police Immediately arrested him from court premises and sent him jail.
Vice President of Chittagong University suspended Chhatra League committee
Rezaul Haque Rubel, Enamul Haque Arafat, Nasiruddin Sumon, Information and Research Secretary Shariful Islam and Deputy Affairs Secretary Syon Das Gupta were present at the press conference.
