Ctg kitchen markets: Prices of fish, vegetables declined, essential commodities steady

The prices of different varieties of sea and sweet water fishes and the fresh vegetables declined to some extents following the abundant supply of vegetables and fished in the city markets but the prices of poultry chicken went up by Tk.10 to 15 per kg after eid vacation.
The prices of rice of different varieties , sugar, edible oil and beefs , mutton remain unchanged. The winter season’s vegetables namely coli flower, leave flower also witnessed in the kitchen markets.
The prices of the fish, meat, vegetables and the essential commodities are witnessed after plysical visit in Chowkbazar, Reazudin Bazaar on Friday morning. While talking to the buyers , it is learnt that the prices of vegetables declined to maximum extents than the prices during Ramadan month.
The buyers also told that fearing the rotting of fresh vegetables, supplies poured abundantly in the city markets from rural areas. Most of the items of essential commodities remained unchanged except dried chilli, turmeric and lintel.
The prices of perishable onion and the green chilli hiked by Tk.10 to 15 and Tk.40 respectively.
Meanwhile, the advance winter seasoned vegetable like coli flower, leave flower and shim are being sold at Tk.100, Tk.60 and Tk.80 respectively. Other vegetables like bangle, patal, barbate, cucumba, karala, radish , potato etc being sold ranging from Tk.25 to Tk.40 per kg. on the other hand telepia, nylotika fish, Rui Katla fish are being sold at Tk.120-130, Tk.2oo to 220 respectively whereas hils is Tk.250 to Tk.500 depending on sizes. Shrimp of different varieties and sizes are sold ranging from Tk.300 to 800 per kg . The prices of beef, mutton are sold at Tk.330-340 and Tk.450 per kg respectively.
