Press worker behind DU question leakage: CID

A press worker leaked questions of the Dhaka University ‘Gha’ unit admission test.
Police on Thursday morning picked up suspect Khan Bahadur from the city’s Indira Road at Farmgate.
Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Special Police Super Molla Nazrul Islam said it while speaking at a press conference at
the CID’s Malibagh office on Thursday.
The Special Police Super said, the police earlier on Wednesday arrested one Saiful Islam from Jamalpur in connection with the question paper leakage, and Khan Bahadur was arrested based on Saiful’s statement.
The Special Police Super also said, Bahadur is the prime accused who leaked out the questions as it was printed from the press.
Molla Nazrul Islam said Khan Bahadur knew Saiful Islam, who was known to Raqibul Hasan. These three suspects were involved in supplying the questions papers. All of them have been detained.
The detainees confessed that they were linked to questions leakage of ‘gha’ unit of Dhaka University in 2015 and 2016.
The Police Super said it replying to a query. An admission seeker has to pay Tk 2,00,000 and 7,00,000 to fetch the leaked questions.
According to the police, so far 23 persons have been detained in connection with question paper leak. Ten were detained since December 7 2017.
