President M Abdul Hamid, who is on a five-day tour in different upazilas of the district, witnessed the progress of development works of Austagram-Nawga and Austagram-Kastul-Bhantshala Roads on Tuesday morning.
The under-construction Austagram-Nawga will connect Chatalpar of B Baria district through a bridge while Austagram-Kastul- Bhantshala roads will connect Itna and Mithamain upazilas.
“This under-construction roads will connect three upazilas of Kishoreganj easing road communication with the capital city Dhaka and other parts of the country,” President’s press secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS. President Hamid waved hands responding to the slogan of the people who were standing roadsides. He also exchanged views with the people at Nawga village situated on the border of Kishoreganj district.
