President Abdul Hamid on Saturday recalled the importance of innovations and creative activities for the progress of civilization and underscored the need for their recognition and preservation to take the world ahead.
In a message on the eve of the ‘World Intellectual Property Day-2015’, the President said he is happy to know that the country is observing the day in a befitting manner.
Abdul Hamid greeted those who are involved in innovation and creative activities and said country’s talented and meritorious individuals have the role in all innovations and creative activities, including art, culture and music.
He said many poets, literary personalities, scientists and musicians were born in this part of the world. It is important to preserve their creative activities, he added.
Terming this year’s theme of the day “Get up, Stand up, For Music,” is time-befitting, the President said observance of the day would play important role in creating public awareness about the flourishing and preservation of intellectual property in the country.
He wished all programmes of the day a success.
