President Abdul Hamid on Wednesday said Bangladesh Navy can play a greater role in safeguarding the country’s marine resources.
The President said this when Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral M Farid Habib made a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban, President’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim told UNB after the meeting. The Navy chief invited Abdul Hamid to attend the annual sea exercise of Bangladesh Navy to be held in Chittagong on January 27. Vice Admiral M Farid Habib apprised the President of different aspects of the exercise.
