President Abdul Hamid on Tuesday urged the South Korean entrepreneurs to invest more in Bangladesh as an investment- friendly environment is prevailing in the country.
The President said this when newly appointed South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Ahn Seong-doo presented his credentials to President Hamid at Bangabhaban here.
Welcoming the envoy, Abdul Hamid said South Korea is a good friend of Bangladesh and both the countries are working as development partner of one another, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS after the meeting.
Ahn Seong-doo said South Korea is a good partner for the development of Bangladesh.
He also said the government of South Korea is interested to extend cooperation in various sectors, including infrastructural development and ICT of Bangladesh.
Earlier, Maldivian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Mohammed Asim presented his credentials to President Hamid at Bangabhaban.
During the meeting, Abdul Hamid thanked the government of the Maldives for reopening resident mission in Dhaka and said the relations between the two countries would strengthen further through the initiative.
