President returns home from Switzerland

President M Abdul Hamid returned home on Saturday morning after wrapping up his five-day official visit to Geneva of Switzerland An Emirates flight carrying the President and his entourage members from Cointrin Airport, Geneva landed at Hazrat Shahjalal ® International Airport (HSIA) at 8.25 am.
On his arrival at the VVIP lounge of HSIA, he was received by Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon, dean of the diplomatic corps, the Swiss Ambassador to Bangladesh, chiefs of the three services, foreign secretary, secretary of the Cabinet Division, Secretary to PM, Inspector General of Police (IGP) and high civil and military officials.
The President also made a two-hour stopover at Dubai, the UAE’s largest and populous city, en route to home. The flight carrying the President and his entourage left Dubai International Airport at 2:25 am (local time) by an Emirates Flight No EK 582.
President Hamid took part in the inaugural session of the five-day summit of the World Investment Forum 2018 on October 22-26 at Palais des Nations in Geneva, the United Nations Headquarters in Europe and a global hub for diplomacy and banking, under the theme “Investing in Sustainable Development”.
He delivered his speech in the Global Leaders Investment Summit putting emphasis on the right investment in human capital, their education and skilled development.
He also exchanged views with the world leaders and representatives of the participating countries in the investment forum. The President also gave a patient hearing to the expatriate Bangladeshis and business community leaders in Switzerland at his place of residence there. He enquired about their wellbeing and asked them to work for the country upholding its image.
