President Abdul Hamid reached London on Sunday (UK local time) on a seven-day visit for eye treatment. “The regular flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President arrived at the Heathrow Airport at 7:45 pm on Sunday (UK time) ,” President’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim told UNB over phone on Monday.
Bangladesh High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Mijarul Quayes received the President at the airport.
During the journey, President Abdul Hamid entered all the cabins to the pleasant surprise of the Biman passengers. He exchanged pleasantries with the passengers and enquired about their well-being. The President is expected to return home on August 25.
