President reaches London

UNB, Dhaka :
President Abdul Hamid reached London on Friday for eye treatment and health check-up there. A regular flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President landed at Heathrow Airport at 4:20pm (local time), President’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim told UNB over phone from London. On his arrival at the airport, president was received by Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK M Abdul Hannan. Earlier, the President left Dhaka from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11 am.
Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, the Dean of the diplomatic corps in Bangladesh, the British High Commissioner in Dhaka, the Cabinet Secretary, the chiefs of the three services and other high civil and military officials concerned saw him off at the airport. The President is expected to return home on March 15.
