President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday felicitated their Irish counterparts on the occasion of the St. Patrick’s Day of the Republic of Ireland which falls today (March 17).
In a message sent to Irish President Michael D. Higgins, Abdul Hamid expressed his satisfaction over the excellent bilateral relations with Ireland.
The President also reiterated that the bonds of friendship and cooperation existing between the two countries would be further strengthened in the years ahead.
In a separate message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny and expressed her confidence that the bonds of friendship, understanding and cooperation with Ireland would be further consolidated for the mutual benefit of the peoples of the two friendly countries.
Sheikh Hasina wished good health, long life and happiness of the Irish Prime Minister as well as continued peace, progress and wellbeing of the people of Ireland.
