President of the Alia University, Netherlands Prof Syed Jan Ali called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md. Akhtaruzzaman on Thursday at the latter’s office of the university.
Professor of the Department of Urdu of DU Dr Zeenat Ara Shirazi was present on this occasion.
During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs on “natural medicine including herbal and unani ones” by the University of Dhaka and the Alia University, Netherlands. The Alia University President expressed willingness to provide cooperation for development of herbal and unani medicine sector in Bangladesh. DU VC thanked the guest for his willingness in this regard.
