President Abdul Hamid on Saturday expressed deep shock at the death of National Professor Salahuddin Ahmed. “The nation has lost an illustrious historian in the death of Professor Salahuddin Ahmed,” said the President in a condolence message.
“The loss caused by his death to the practice of history in Bangladesh is irreparable,” he added. Abdul Hamid prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed his sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
