President Abdul Hamid on Saturday expressed profound shock at the death of Ekushey Padak and Bangla Academy Award recipient Poet Rafique Azad.
In a condolence message the President said the loss that has been created in the literary arena of Bangladesh in the death of Rafique Azad is irreparable. His contribution to the world of Bangla poem will be remembered forever, he added.
The President prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul of Rafique Azad and conveyed his sympathy to members of his bereaved family.
