President M Abdul Hamid on Saturday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of noted journalist and Executive Editor of Bangladesh Pratidin Pir Habibur Rahman.
In a condolence message, the President said the death of Pir Habibur Rahman is an irreparable loss to the media industry of the country.
Recalling his contribution to the field of journalism, President Hamid said Pir Habib had played a very significant role in the development journalism in Bangladesh, reports BSS.
“He will always be remembered by the journalists as well as mass people”, Hamid added.
The head of the state prayed for the eternal peace of Pir Habibur Rahman and conveyed his deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.
