President Abdul Hamid on Tuesday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of valiant freedom fighter and Kishoreganj district unit president of National Awami Party (NAP) Advocate Mozammel Haque Khan Ratan.
In a condolence message, President Hamid recalled the contributions of Ratan, also former general secretary of Kishoreganj Bar Association.
He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Ratan breathed his last at a city hospital at about 1.30 am on Tuesday at the age of 73.
Ratan left behind his wife, one son, two daughters, a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
