President M Abdul Hamid on Sunday condoled the death of Advocate Latifur Rahman Khan Toru, former President and General Secretary of Kishoreganj District Lawyers’ Association.
Advocate Latifur breathed his last yesterday at his Kishoreganj residence at the age of 70.
He left behind his wife, one son, three daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
In a condolence message, President Hamid expressed profound shock at his death and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Recalling his contribution to different democratic movements at different times, the President said, “Advocate Latifur Rahman was very vocal to establish the rule of law.”
The President prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
