President Abdul Hamid arrived in Singapore on Sunday on a seven-day visit for undergoing medical check-up at Singapore National Eye Centre.
Bangladesh High Commissioner to Singapore Mahbub Uz Zaman welcomed the President when he arrived at Changi International Airport this morning, according to a message received here from Singapore.
Besides the eye treatment, the President will also undergo medical checkup at Mount Elizabeth Hospital there. President Abdul Hamid left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here by a regular Singapore Airlines flight at 11.55 pm on Saturday night.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, dean of the diplomatic corps, cabinet secretary, chiefs of the three services, and high civil and military officials concerned were present at the airport to see him off.
He is expected to return home on May 3.
