President M Abdul Hamid on Monday congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his reelection as the President of Republic of Turkey.
In a message sent to the Turkish President, Hamid said, “I am immensely delighted to know that the people of Turkey have reelected you as their President for a new term. This is a clear demonstration of their confidence in your leadership. I would like to extend my warmest felicitations to you on this grand electoral success.”
He said both Bangladesh and Turkey have excellent bilateral relations based on commonalities rooted in history, culture, faith and tradition. The President said he believed that the brotherly people of the two countries would continue their march towards peace, development and prosperity in the coming years. “At the same time, our existing excellent relations will continue to grow from strength to strength.” Hamid wished good health and personal well-being of Erdogan and the brotherly people of Turkey and its continued peace, progress and prosperity. “I would also like to extend a warm invitation to you to pay a visit to Bangladesh at a mutually convenient date as soon as possible,” he said.
