President M Abdul Hamid on Wednesday urged all concerned to innovate new agriculture technologies suitable for Bangladesh and reach those to the farmers.
In a message on the eve of the 4th Agro Bangladesh Fair – 2014, he hoped new agriculture technologies would be displayed in the fair.
He appreciated the initiative to organize the fair and wished its success.
The President said Bangladesh is an agricultural country and the present government is pledge-bound to ensure food security for the people.
It is challenging to attain stable food security because of increasing population and climate change, he said, adding that it is not possible for the government to face the challenge alone.
Technologists working in private and public sectors would have to work in coordination to face the challenge, he said.
