President Abdul Hamid laid emphasis on upholding financial discipline in spending public money for ensuring welfare of people.
The President made the remark when Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh (CAG) Masud Ahmed handed over 15 audit and 2 financial reports to the President at Bangabhaban on Sunday afternoon.
The CAG was accompanied by Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh Shamol Kanti Chowdhury.
During the meeting, the CAG apprised the President of various facts and figures of the audit reports that were handed over.
The audit reports included 285 audit objections involving Taka 6195.85 crore. Of the 15 audit reports, six are annual, six are special, two are issue-based and one on performance.
President Abdul Hamid expressed satisfaction over the audit reports.
