President Abdul Hamid on Monday underscored the need for identifying the young and innovative researchers for the welfare of the country.
“We need to patronize the young and innovative researchers in different fields so that they can contribute for the development of the country,” he said when a delegation of Bangladesh Association for the Advancement of Science (BAAS) made a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised the President of the activities of the association.
The delegation members said scientists need to be given patronization so that they can carry out research properly for the development of the country, President’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim told UNB after the meeting.
