President Abdul Hamid has urged all concerned to carry out more research and publish more books on Bangladesh Liberation War and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The President made this call when press minister of Bangladesh High Commission to London writer-columnist Nadim Quadir presented him a book ‘Mujib Manai Mukti’, says a media release on Friday.
President Hamid who is mow in London for medical checkup thanked Nadin Quadir and publisher of the book ‘Bangabanhu Lekhok-Sangbadik Forum’ for giving him the book.
It is the first publication of newly formed ‘Bangabanhu Lekhok-Sangbadik Forum’. Nadim Quadir is the adviser of the organization and adviser editor of the council of editors of the book.
Edited by member secretary of the organization Sujat Mansur, the book contains writings of Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, daughters of Bangabandhu Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana, journalist-columnist Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury, Syed Shamsul Haq, poet Nirmalendu Goon, DG of Bangla Academy Samsuzzaman Khan, Aly Zaker, Selina Hossain, Anisul Haq, President of the UK unit of Awami League Sultan Mahmud Sharif and others.
Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury has written the preface of the book and Arup Baul designed its cover.
