President Abdul Hamid on Thursday urged both public and private universities to exert the highest effort to create manpower having knowledge in information technology as the present age belongs to information technology.
The President made the call when a delegation of Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) led by its Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammed Alauddin made a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban.
During the meeting, Abdul Hamid said in the age of information technology there is no alternative to information technology education to create skilled manpower, President’s press secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS.
The delegation apprised the President of the academic activities of the university and sought president’s cooperation to run the activities of the university.
Secretaries concerned to the President’s Office were present.
