President Abdul Hamid has expressed profound shock at the death of renowned educationist Professor Dr Zillur Rahman Siddiqui.
In a condolence message on Wednesday, the President said Professor Zillur Rahman nurtured the spirit of Liberation War, free thinking and non-communalism.
He played an important role in building a knowledge-based society, he added.
The President prayed for peace of the departed soul of Zillur Rahman Siddiqui and conveyed his sympathy to members of his bereaved family.
