President asks BAF personnel to uphold country’s image

President M Abdul Hamid asked air force members to become efficient and ideal ones to elevate the image of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) and the country as well.
“Each member of the air force should attain world-standard efficiency to uphold the dignity of the country,” he said this on Tuesday while addressing the National Standard Award Ceremony of the 1, 3,5,8,9 and 71 Squadrons of BAF at its Bangabandhu Base in Dhaka Cantonment here.
President Hamid, also the Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces, stressed the need for imparting advanced training and doing hard work to take the BAF’s achievements into a new height.
“Attaining professional skill is very important for you (BAF members). It increases self-confidence and also enhances the force’s goodwill and dignity as well. So you have to prepare yourself to be more skilled and ideal air force members,” he suggested.
The head of the state hoped that the air force personnel would play more active role for the development activities of the country and the nation in the days to come.
Considering the geographical location of the country, strategic position and scope of economic development and prospects, President Hamid said the incumbent government is very sincere to make the air force a time-befitting, powerful and professional one in line with the Forces Goal -2030. The President also asked BAF members to be more careful and attentive in preserving all modern and valuable equipment, including warplanes. “Bangladesh is now on the highway of development.
