President M Abdul Hamid, who is now on a five-day tour in different upazilas of Kishoreganj district reached Kishoreganj on Monday afternoon.
The President is visiting his home district of Kishoreganj on September 24-
28 to attend several programmes at Austagram, Itna and Mithamain upazilas.
This is the second visit of Abdul Hamid to his village home in the
remote area of Kishoreganj after he took oath of office as the country’s
President for the second consecutive term on April 24.
President Hamid arrived Kishoreganj by a helicopter landed at Austagram Upazila Helipad Ground at about 2 pm, where he was received by local political
leaders and senior officials of the district administration by presenting a bouquet.
Local political leaders including Rezwan Ahmed Taufiq, MP, senior civil and military officials and secretaries concerned to Bangabhaban are accompanying the President during his visit.
