Preparations are underway to open 234 educational institutions including primary, secondary, higher-secondary and polytechnic institutes on September 12 at Borhanuddin in Bhola. 1 polytechnic institute, 4 colleges, 39 madrasas, 26 secondary schools, 6 non-secondary schools and 157 primary schools of the upazila are undergoing clean-up work. Teachers of educational institutions have been seen supervising the cleanliness.
It is learned that the concerned department will inspect the cleaning activities before September 11.
On Wednesday morning, Borhanuddin Kamil (Alia) Madrasa of the upazila was seen cleaning the inside and outside of the madrasa. Classrooms as well as washrooms, grass, garbage are being cleaned.
Madrasa principal AB Ahmad Ullah Ansari said all kinds of cleaning will be completed in 2-1 days. One and a half kilometers away from the madrasa, Arab Ali Hawladar’s home was visited at Ideal Government Primary School. According to the locals, the school is always clean. Manika went to the secondary school and saw four cleaners busy cleaning the classroom. They have already cleaned the exterior. Borhanuddin Women’s Degree College is also undergoing washing and wiping work. Principal Harun-ur-Rashid said all the cleaning work would be completed by Thursday. In Borhanuddin Government Primary School, all the classrooms have been cleaned by connecting pipes with mortar and sprinkling water. No dirty forest was seen outside. Besides, the same picture was seen in Borhanuddin Government High School, Government Abdul Jabbar College and Veola Polytechnic Institute.
