Narsingdi Correspondent :Adequate preparations have taken to celebrate Durga Puja, the greatest religions festival of the Hindu community in Narsingdi in a befitting manner. The work on erection of Puja mondaps and images of the goddess Durga is going on in full swing in the district.According to the official concerned Durga Puja will be held in 314 mondaps in the district in cluding 28 in the district town this year.At total of 91 Mandops are in Sadar upazila, 18 in Belabo, 41 in Polash, 67 in Shibpur, 53 in Raipura, 44 in Monohardi upazilas of the district. Meanwhile Narsingdi Deputy Commissioner has organized a meeting at the conference room here Today Thursday with Deputy Commissioner Abu Hana Morshad Zaman in the chair aimed at making the celebration of Durga Puja a total success.The district administration has sanctioned 300 metric tons of rice for the Puja mondaps in the district to help the celebration process.The district administration is also taking special security measures throughout the district for ensuring peaceful celebration of the festival.Dupchanchia(Bogra) Correspondent says: The idols makers are passing busy time ahead of the largest religious festival of followers of Hindu community in all twelve upazilas of Bogra district .The Hindu religious people are waiting enthusiastically to celebrate Puja both in rural and urban area of the district. The day will be celebrated the day on October-18, the next day on 19th is Saptami, on 20th Octber is Ostomi, on 21st it is Nabami and on 22nd October is the last leg of Puja which is known as Dasami. Puja Ujjapon parishad district unit source said, a total 618 puja mondop of the all upazilas will observe through 37 of Dupchanchia,38 of Kahaloo, 68 of Adamdighi, 51 0f Nandigram, 48 0f Shibgonj, 38 0f Sonatola, 19 0f Sariakandi, 79 0f Sherpur, 65 0f Gabtoly, 49 0f Shazahanpur, 250f Dhunat and 101 0f sadar Puja Mandaps (Places where statues for observing Puja are set up) in the district. An artisan Amio Motri said, they are passing busy time to give the shape of the goddesses before the great festival of the Hindu community across the district and there has been an enthusiasm in the Pal villages to give the perfect shape of Goddess Durga and other statues and figures. They have started to make the statues around 20 days before and those are now at their final stage. Now, they were only giving the final touch through brush and paint. Within next three days, the statues will be decorated and ready for erecting on the mandaps, he added. President of Puja Ujjapon Parisha Dupchanchia upazila unit Asim Kumar Das said, “Bagerhat Correspondent reports: Brisk preparations are afoot here to celebrate 4-day long Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community in a befitting manner and peaceful atmosphere in Bagerhat district. It will commence on October 19.As many as 584 Puja Mandops are being erected in the district. Out of 106 Puja Mandops in Bagerhat Sadar Upazila, 42 in Kachua, 43 in Rampal, 31 in Mongla, 70 in Morrelganj, 23 in Sharankhola, 71 in Mollahat, 65 in Fakirhat and 132 in Chitalmari Upazila. Some 12 Puja Mandaps are being erected in Bagerhat district town.The biggest Puja Mandop in the district is being erected in Karapara Ramkrishna Asram, 3 kilometers away from here. As many as 261 images of different deities are being made there based on the holy books the Mahabharat and the Ramayan. The image makers are now very busy making the images of the deities in beautiful colours and artistic touch. Puja shopping has already started among the worshippers. Sylhet Correspondent adds: Massive preparations have been taken to celebrate the Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community.The Durga Puja will begin in total 40 Puja Mondops under Sylhet City on October 19 and will end on October 23.The Hindu community people will take part in the Puja and seek divine blessings for both Bangladesh and its people. Secretary of Sylhet City Puja Udjapon Parishad Rojot Khanti Gupto said, of the 40 Puja Mondops in Sylhet City area. He expressed his satisfaction over the entire measures taken by administrations. While visiting the temples in the district, the idol-makers were found working round the clock in making Durga idol sets. They are giving artistic touches on the idols. The Sylhet City Puja Udjapon Committee members were also found in setting up colourful gates and Puja Mondops.
