Preparations afoot to celebrate Bangabandhu’s birth centenary in dists today

People of the region are ready to celebrate the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day-2020 today .
To mark the day, local district administration has taken revised programme considering the epidemic corona virus situation as per the direction of the government.
The revised programme was disclosed by Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Md Helal Hossain at a press conference at local Circuit House on Sunday.
Mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Talukder Abdul Khaleque, Divisional Commissioner Dr Md. Anwar Hossain Howlader, Superintendent of Police(SP) S M Shafiullah, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ziaur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) South Ehsan Shah, President
of Khulna Press Club S M Nazrul Islam, among others, were present at the press conference on preparations of Bangabandhu’s birth centrenary . A-31 gun salute will be heralded at KMP Police line during sunrise of the day.
The programme will begin through recitations from the holy Quran 1200 times (Quran Khatom) by 2,381 Islamic scholars (Quran-e-Hafez) at different city and district Madrasas, mosques and orphanages.
Special prayers will be offered at mosques after Fazar prayer seeking divine blessings and peace of the departed souls of 30 lakhs freedom fighters, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, his family members along with all martyrs of August 15, 1975, to save people from corona virus and peace and progress of the Nation.
Special prayers will also be held at temples, churches, pagodas and other places of worships seeking divine blessings of Father of the Nation and other martyrs at any suitable time.
National flag will be hoisted atop of allpublic and private buildings at dawn while wreaths would be placed at the mural of Bangabandhu at Khulna Betar premises by the people of all strata.
High officials, freedom fighters, leaders of different socio-cultural and political organizations will also placed wreaths there.
The other programmes chalked out by the district administration including art competition, drawing, essay and quiz by children, publication of wall magazine and screening of documentary films at Shaheed Hadis Park.
Fire-works will be organized at the evening at Khulna Zila School Groundwhile government, semi government offices, educational institutions, City Corporation Bhaban will be illuminated on the day.
Improved diet will be served at all hospitals, orphanages and jails on this occasion.
State-run Khulna Betar will broadcast special programmes while the local newspapers will bring out special supplements on the occasion. Besides, Khulna City and District units of Awami League have been chalked out different programme to observe the birth centenary of Father of the Nation.
The programmes including hoisting of national and party flags and to place wreaths at the portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and cutting of 100 pound cake at the party office.
Khulna University (KU), Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Khulna City Corporation (KCC), Khulna WASA, Khulna Press Club, Khulna Union of Journalists (KUJ), 1971: Genocide and Tortured Archive Museum and different socio-cultural and political parties will also observe the day in a befitting manner.
Meanwhile, a huge enthusiasm has been created among common people here, especially students and youths, who are eagerly waiting to celebrate the birth centenary of Bangabandhu.
BSS from Rangpur reports: The enthusiastic people are ready to celebrate the centenary birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children Day-2020 in a befitting manner here today.
The district administration, Awami League (AL), Rangpur City Corporation, educational institutions and other organisations have completed preparations to celebrate the centenary birth anniversary of Bangabandhu as per the rescheduled programmes.
The district administration officials said the celebration will begin with 31 gun salutes after the sunrise followed by hoisting of the national flag at all government, semi-government and private buildings in the city.
The divisional and district level high-ranking officials will place wreaths at the mural of Bangabandhu on the Bangabandhu Square at 8:30 am followed by giving a guard of honour there by a smart contingent of police forces.
The district administration and Public Works Department with the assistance of the District Information Office will screen a documentary film on “Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangladesh’ at Circuit House premises.
After the Johr prayers, Doa, milad mehfils and special prayers will be offered at mosques, temples, churches and pagodas seeking eternal peace for departed soul of Bangabandhu and continuous peace and prosperity of the nation.
Improved diets and sweets will be served to inmates of different hospitals, orphanages, Government Shishu Paribars, Rangpur Central Jail, vagabond centres and children centres.
A fire-cracker firing show will be arranged on the Deputy Commissioner’sOffice premises in the city without mass public gathering.
The District Information Office continues playing play the historic March 7th speech of Bangabandhu and screening documentaries on Bangabandhu at different places of the district as part of week-long programmes since March 10 last.
Educational institutions will publish wall magazines on ‘Expression of children thoughts’ and arrange competitions on essay writing, drawing, poem recitation, quiz and ready speech titled ‘Eso Bangabandhu Hoi’ at their respective institutions.
Besides, the central programmes of the centenary birth anniversary celebration of Bangabandhu will be shown on the bigger screens since 8 pm and onward through the television channels and social media.
Meanwhile, the district and city unit of AL and its associate bodies have chalked out identical day-long programmes to celebrate the centenary birth anniversary of Bangabandhu in a befitting manner in the city today.
The programmes include lighting of candles at one-minute past midnight at district AL office, hoisting of the national and party flags at 6:30 am followed by placing of wreaths at the portrait and mural of Bangabandhu at 10 am.
Doa, milad mehfils and special prayers will be offered at mosques, temples, churches and pagodas, playing of the 7th March historic speech of Bangabandhu throughout the day and rendering of patriotic songs by artists of Joy Bangla Sangskritik Jyote.
Besides, firing of fire-crackers at district AL office will be arranged at 8 pm and improved diets be served to inmates of Uttam Baroghoria Orphanage and Abu Huraira Orphanage in the city.

Divisional and district administrations, Awami League (AL), its associate organizations, Bangabandhu Shishu Kishor Mela, socio-cultural and children organizations have chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate the centenary.
The day’s day-long programmes will be heralded with 31 gunshots at district police line at dawn. Subsequently, national flags will be hoisted atop all public and private buildings.
Other programmes include placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu, screening of documentary films and illumination of important government, non- government and autonomous buildings and installations.
At 9 am, various government and non-government organizations, social and cultural bodies, valiant Freedom Fighters and politicians will place floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu at Collectorate Building premises.
Special prayers will be offered seeking divine blessings for Bangabandhu, four national leaders and martyrs of the War of Liberation and peace and progress of the nation at mosques, temples, pagodas, churches and other places of worship.
District Information Office will screen video footage and clippings on life and works of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at different road crossings in the city.
Improved diets will be served to the inmates of all hospitals, upazila health complexes, jails, vagabond centers, shishu paribar and orphanages.
