All preparations of around 366 Eidgah Maidans in the capital city including the National Eidgah have already been completed for holding the congregations of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr.Sources of the Dhaka north and south city corporations said that every year a total of 366 Eid congregations including the national (Jatiya) Eidgah are usually taken place in the capital.Out of these, a total of 266 Eid congregations are taken place under South city corporation and 140 Eid congregations in north city corporation area.The number of Eid congregations in the capital may rise during this year, said the city corporations officials.The main Eid congregation will be held at Jatiya Eidgah Maidan, adjacent to the High Court, here this year like every year where construction of pandel has been completed at a cost of Taka 58 lakh.Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has completed the setting up of close-circuit camera (CC) in the ground as part of security measures in the Eidgah.Even two separate control rooms have been set up for the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Police in the ground.Around 120 ablution points (ceremonial washing for saying prayers) have been set up at the side of the main gate of the Jatiya Eidgah.Around 1,25,000 muslims can say the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers together at the Jatiya Eidgah ground, said an official of Dhaka South City Corporation.Separate arrangement also being underway for the women as they [women] can say Eid prayers separately at the south side of the Jatiya Eidgah, said the official.DMP sources said a total of 64 CC cameras will be installed in the Eidgah ground. Besides this, huge number of security forces will also be deployed in the Jatiya Eidgah.Prominent personalities including the President, Chief Justice, Ministers, Member of Parliaments are usually say their Eid prayers at the Jatiya Eidgah.
