Joynal Abedin Khan :The Dhaka Central Jail authorities have taken all preparations to execute the death-row Jamaat leader Muhammad Kamaruzzaman soon after getting the copy of review verdict of the Supreme Court Appellate Division.”We have completed the necessary preparations to execute the war convict Jamaat leader,” said Forman Ali, senior jail superintendent of Dhaka Central Jail, on Wednesday.The jail authorities read out the death warrant to Kamaruzzaman on Wednesday afternoon, he said. Forman Ali met Syed Iftekhar Uddin, Inspector General (IG) of Prisons, after the Kamaruzzaman’s verdict reached at Dhaka Central Jail. A panel of three hangmen has been finalised, soon after the announcement of the verdict, jail sources said. he security has been beefed up in and outside of the Dhaka Central Jail to avert any untoward situation, said Mofiz Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner (Lalbagh zone) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). Meanwhile, about 10 platoons of BGB have been deployed in the capital and another 123 platoons across the country to maintain law and order, said Mohsin Reza, Public Relation Officer of BGB.
