Kishoreganj District police have been taken strict security measures with the development of around 500 forces for smooth celebration of Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language Day.
Police Super of Kishoreganj Md. Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BPM told that a three-tier security measure has been taken surrounding the Shahed Minar cntering this year’s International Mother Language Day to be celebrated today .
A part from forces, they would install archways, barricaded and CCTVs to ensure the safety measures, he added.
RAB, Detectives, Bomb Disposal Units will remain standing to thwant any untow and sitution.
Several teams of plain clothes policemen would remain patrolling everywhere.
BSS from Rajshahi says: Different government, non-government, volunteer and cultural organizations including the Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) and the district and the divisional administrations have chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language Day in a befitting manner here today.  
The programmes include placing floral wreaths at Shaheed Minar, hoisting of national flags at half-mast atop all public and private buildings and holding mourning processions.
Marking the day, the city streets will be adorned with miniature national flags and coloured flags inscribed with Bengali alphabets.
 The programmes also include recitation from the holy Quran and discussion at the Islamic Foundation office, art and literary competitions for school and college students at the Shishu Academy and screening of documentary films on the Language Movement.
 Language veterans will be accorded a reception on the occasion. Besides, a discussion and cultural function will be organised at the auditorium of Shilpakala Academy, officials said.
The RCC has taken up elaborate programmes to observe the day.
City Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton is likely to open the day’s programme by placing wreaths at Bhuban Mohan Park Shaheed Minar in the morning.
 Meanwhile, Rajshahi University, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Rajshahi Medical College, Rajshahi Medical University and other public and private educational institutions has drawn up different programmes to observe the day.
BSS from Rangpur reports : The common people from all walks in life are ready to observe the Shaheed Dibash and International Mother Language Day-2019 tomorrow in Rangpur division.
The district administrations, socio-cultural and professional organisations, political parties, private bodies and educational institutions have chalked out programmes to observe the day with due solemnity, officials said.
In Rangpur divisional city, the observance will begin at one minute past after midnight on February 21 with placing wreaths at the Central Shaheed Minar here to pay due respect to the Language Movement Martyrs.
Mayor of Rangpur Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa, Divisional Commissioner Muhammad Joynul Bari and Deputy Inspector General for Rangpur Range of Bangladesh Police Devdas Bhattacharya and Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Abdul Alim Mahmud will place wreaths there.
Later, Deputy Commissioner Enamul Habib and Police Super Mizanur Rahman along with other officials will place wreaths there to be followed by theother government and non-government departments and organisations and institutions.
Local leaders of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangshad, Awami League (AL) and other political parties, professional organisations and common people will place wreaths there to pay homage to the Language Movement Martyrs.
The programmes include hoisting of the national flag at half-mast atop all government and private buildings and educational institutions, ‘probhat ferry’, decoration of the city streets with miniature national and coloured- flags inscribed with Bengali alphabets.
Competitions for children on drawing, essay writing, descent hand writing, rendering patriotic songs and sports for underprivileged children will be arranged along with screening of documentary films on the language movement.
