The health administration has completed preparations to make the National Vitamin A Plus and De-worming Campaign for the 4,68,675 under five babies in the district on April 25 next.
Civil Surgeon of Rangpur Dr Mozammel Hossain disclosed the information at a press briefing arranged at his conference room in the city late this afternoon and sought cooperation of the media in making the campaign successful. The campaign will be conducted under the auspices of the Public Health & Nutrition Institute (PHNI) and National Nutrition Services (NNS) under the Ministry of Health and Family Planning and assistance of the UNICEF. Under the Campaign, one dose of one lakh unit Vitamin A Blue capsule will be administered among 57,979 babies aged between 6 and 11 months and one dose two lakh unit Vitamin A Red capsule among 4,10,696 babies aged between 12 and 59 months.

Chief Health Officer of SCC Dr Sudamoy mojumdar disclosed the information at a press briefing arranged at his conference room in Vinodini City Hospital the city late this afternoon and sought cooperation of the media in making the campaign successful.
The campaign will be conducted under the auspices of the Public Health & Nutrition Institute (PHNI) and National Nutrition Services (NNS) under the Ministry of Health and Family Planning and assistance of the UNICEF. Under the Campaign, one dose of one lakh unit Vitamin A Blue capsule will be administered among 60,000 babies aged between 6 and 11 months and one dose unit Vitamin A Red capsule among 60,000 babies aged between 12 and 59 months.
BSS from Faridpur reports: As part of the countrywide vitamin ‘A’ plus campaign with the object of reducing the night blindness and growing resistance power in the children against diseases due to malnutrition, district health department will conduct the day long campaign on April 25 across the district.
This was stated in a press briefing held yesterday at local Civil Surgeon (CS) office attended by the journalists of both electronic and print media.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Moshaerul Islam Ratan said this at a press conference at the conference room of the Administrative building of Jamalpur General Hospital yesterday . The Civil Surgeon said, each of 33, 754 children aged from 6 months to 11 months will be administered a one lakh IU (International Unit) blue coloured vitamin A capsule while each of the 2, 85, 298 children aged from 12 months to 59 months will be fed a two lakh IU red coloured vitamin A capsule on the day in the district.
