Premier University earned a convincing 99-run victory over Port City University in the Dakhina Inter-University T20 Cricket Tournament at WCG here on Wednesday.
Sent in to bat first, Premier University scored a comfortable 155 for 9 in 20 overs with Moazzem making 33, Julhas 27 and Tanvir 24 runs.
Hedayet grabbed three wickets for four runs while Saddam and Yousuf took two wickets each, also conceding four runs each.
In reply, Port City University were bundled out for 56 runs in 18.2 overs with Saddam scoring 16 and Raju 13 runs.
Fahad, Julhas and Rana claimed three wickets each while Omar took one. Later, Fahad was adjudged man of the match.
In the day’s other match at the same venue, Southern University beat East Delta University by six wickets.
Batting first after winning the toss, East Delta University were all out for 114 runs in 20 overs with Sanju making 27, Sami 17, Mamun 14 and Tahil 12 runs.
Ratan Das picked up four wickets for three runs and was adjudged man of the match.
In reply, Southern University easily reached the target scoring 118 runs for 4 in 16.5 overs with Aquib scoring 36, Sajjadul 34, Kazi Kamrul 24r runs.
Tahil and Rakib grabbed two wickets each conceding three and four runs respectively.
