The Walton Smart Phone 14th Premier Division Kabaddi League begins today at the Kabaddi Stadium. Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) will arrange the eight-day long kabaddi competition.
A total of 13 teams splitting into four groups will take part in the first phase of the kabaddi meet.
Bangladesh Army, Dhaka Wanderers Club, Maniknagar Kabaddi team are in Group A, BGB, Fire Service, Bangladesh Air Force are in Group B, Bangladesh Police, Azad Sporting Club, Sonali Bank are in Group C and Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Jail team, Jurain Janata Club, Shaheed Mozaffar Smriti Sangsad are in Group D.
Top one team from each group will get tickets of the Super League.
Regarding the ensuing kabaddi meet, a press conference was held at the conference room of the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation Md Nazrul Islam, Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Don, Senior Deputy Director of RB Group Rezwan Alam, Vice-President of BKF and Chairman of the Tournament Committee Munir Hossain, Sports Ambassador of Walton Jobera Rahman Linu were present at the conference.
The kabaddi competition will come to an end on April 25.
