UNB, Dhaka :A five-month pregnant woman was killed allegedly by her husband over a family feud at Maniknagar in the city’s Mugda area early Wednesday.The deceased was identified as Tanjila Islam Binti,30, wife of Shah Alam Sohag, a resident of the area. The victim’s uncle Farhad Hossain said Sohag had married Binti five years ago. The couple has a four-year-old son.Sohag used to torture Binti since after their marriage.They locked into a quarrel over a family issue at about 3:30 am. At one stage, Sohag kicked at Binti’s abdomen, leaving her critically injured. Later, she was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where attending doctors declared her dead at about 4:30 am. Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue for an autopsy. Police also arrested Sohag from the hospital and taken to Mugda Police Station on Wednesday morning. Inspector Mozammel Haque, in-charge of DMCH police camp, confirmed the incident.
