A seminar on “Budget 2018-19: Addressing the Problems of Poverty and Inequality” jointly organized by the Department of Economics and Southeast Business School (SBS) was held on Sunday at the Banani Seminar Hall of Southeast University (SEU).
State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan, MP, was the chief guest at the seminar. The seminar was chaired by the Vice Chancellor of SEU, Prof Dr ANM Meshquat Uddin while Dr Salehuddin Ahmed, Professor of BRAC Business School and Former Governor of Bangladesh Bank was present as special guest.
Key not paper was presented by Prof Dr MA Hakim, Director of IQAC, SEU.
Among others, M. Kamaluddin Chowdhury, Representative Member of BoT; Prof Dr AFM Mafizul Islam, Adviser of BoT; Maj Gen (Retd) Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed, Registrar of SEU; Deans; Chairmen; Directors; Faculty members; Officials and students attended the program.
