Prayers offered for Bangabandhu at PMO

A milad and doa mahfil was held at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Tuesday marking the 47th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day.
A special munajat was offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs of the August 15, 1975 carnage and continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.
Prime Minister’s Economic Affairs Adviser Dr Mashiur Rahman and Private Industry and Investment Affairs Adviser Salman Fazlur Rahman spoke on the occasion highlighting the life and works of the Father of the Nation, reports BSS.
PM’s Principal Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus presided over the function.
Principal Coordinator of the SDG Affairs Zuena Aziz, PMO Senior Secretary Md Tofazzel Hossain Miah, Executive Chairman (Senior Secretary) of the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) Shaikh Yusuf Harun and Director General (DG) of the Special Security Force (SSF) Major General Md Majibur Rahman took part in the discussion, among others.
Besides, PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim and Military Secretary Major General Kabir Ahammad participated on the occasion.
Officials and employees of the PMO also joined the milad and doa mahfil.
