PRAN, a leading processed food company in Bangladesh, has started exporting potato to Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.
According to a sources at the company, PRAN, it has exported around 40,000 mt of potatoes to some three Asian country in the mean time and made agreements to some other Middle-East countries to do the same.
“We started exporting the vegetable as per buyers demand from this week,” said M Mizanur Rahman, chief of export at PRAN said.
“This is a new experience for PRAN as it is exporting the seasonal crop for the first time.’ he added.
“We exported various types of potatoes including Granula, Diamond, Asterix, Courage through Chittagong sea port,” he said.
