Staff Reporter :Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Pran RFL Group Major General (retd) Amjad Khan Chowdhury passed away on Wednesday. He breathed his last at 7:15pm. He was undergoing treatment at Duke Medical Hospital of North Carolina state in the USA.Public relation officer of Pran Group Ziaul Haque Uujjal confirmed the news to the reporters.Amzad Khan Chowdhury, son of Abul Kashem Khan Chowdhury, was born in 1939 at Natore. He completed his graduation at Pakistani Military Academy and Australian Staff College.He joined Pakistani army in 1956. He ascended to the post of Major General in the army. After retirement from Bangladesh army in 1981, he launched Pran-RFL.The late Amjad Khan led many business organizations like REHAB, BAPA and UCEP.Moreover, he was the ex-president of Dhaka Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).
