PRAN, a leading food processor in the country, bagged export orders worth $5 million at Germany’s Anuga Fair-2017, one of the largest food and beverage exhibitions in the world.
PRAN received the orders from the importers of 35 countries, said a media release here today.
Over 7,400 companies from 107 countries participated in the fair held at Koelnmesse Exhibition Center in Cologne, Germany. The five-day fair began on October 7. PRAN Group participated in the fair for the 14th times.
Assistant General Manager of PRAN Export Golam Rasul said this year the group displayed its over 500 products in two stalls. Juice, confectionary and bakery items were the center of attraction among the buyers.
Md Mizanur Rahman, Chief Operating Officer at PRAN Export, said Anuga Fair is one of the largest food and beverage fairs in the world and traders and buyers, from every corner of the globe, participate in the exhibition.
He said the main purpose of participating in the exhibition is to expand export market. PRAN products are now being expozted to 134 countries.
The Group has exported $231 million worth of products in fiscal year 2016-17.
