Since joining of new Asstt. Commissioner (Land) Jonaid Kabir Sohag in Raozan upazila last year, the alleged irregularities so committed previously are being regularizing to maximum extents under his disciplined supervision .
While contacted Asstt. Commissioner (Land) told this reporter that in last one year, about 300 khatian mutation cases are settled and revised /corrections with specific complaints in every month. He said as per serial of receipt register, the prayers or complaints are being settled and there is no sorts of nepotism and favouritism .
Allegations of beneficiaries and mistakes in land records are being accepted aimed at immediate necessary actions, he added. Jonaid Kabir also told that he sets example of constituting a Mass Hearing program of the sufferers /beneficiaries on every Wednesday of the week. During his total tenure of one year, abour 10 acres of khas lands under different areas of the upazila and poura areas were recovered from possession.
He also appraises that Record room of upazila Land office is updated chronologically and ID cards to all officials/employees of upazila LO and six Tahsil offices were supplied after his joining. He further informed that processing of online khatian mutation now under process and all BS land records were preserved with binding and all mutation records are also compiled accordingly. Illegal lifters of sands from Halda River and Sartha khal also eviced by his initiatives. Different sources said AC (Land) always accepts any allegations with smile face from the sufferers during office hours. Besides his normal office supervisions, he regularly conducting Mobile court operations within the jurisdictions . He also complying the instructions of the local lawmaker at any time as and when required .
