Legendary film actor Prabir Mitra will get the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Artists Journalists Foundation of Bangladesh (AJFB) at its ninth founding anniversary to be held today at the main auditorium of the National Museum in the city’s Shahbag Area.
Prabir Mitra will receive the award from Deputy Speaker of the National Parliament Fazle Rabbi Mia in the programme, while Railway Minister Mujibul Haque Mujib and Chairman of Awami Jubo League Omar Faruk Chowdhury will be also present on the occasion.
While sharing his feelings to get the Lifetime Achievement Award vetern actor Prabir Mitra told this correspondent, “To receive Lifetime Achievement Award is obviously an honourable matter for any actor. Everybody pray for me as I can remain well.”
Besides Prabir Mitra, noted rebellion singer Fakir Alamgir also gets the award.
It may be mentioned that Prabir Mitra debuted his acting career by H Akbar’s movie Jolchhobi. Basically his friend noted actor ATM Shamsuzzaman cooperated him in the field of acting in movie.
Later as a hero Prabir Mitra acted in movies Chabuk, Titas Ekti Nodir Naam, Jaliyat, Teer Bhanga Dhew, Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo, Ramer Sumoti, Nawab Siraj Uddowla, other movies.
