State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid on Wednesday said, power sector as the country’s biggest service sector brought 93 percent people under electricity coverage.
He emphasized implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to make power sector totally digitalized providing smart service from rural area to urban area by October 2019.
The minister came with the remark while addressing as the chief guest at ERP implementation conference at Bidyut Bhaban.
Power Division is working with Tec vision, Microsoft, Computer Service and Tec heaven to make digitalize every activities of the sector such as human resource management, asset management, Audit, generation, distribution, billing and monitoring system.
Senior Secretary Dr Ahmed Kaukaws presided the function while PDB Chairman Khaled Mahmud, REB Chairman Major General (Ret) Moin Uddin, Power Cell DG Muhammad Hossain, among other, spoke here.
