Power Ministry to be paperless within three years: Nasrul

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said his ministry will enter paperless work within next three years.
“We have to be innovative and communicative for better and improved services alongside expansion of our areas of works,” he said this on Wednesday while addressing a function at Bidyut Bhaban in the city.
Power Division in association with Access to Information (a2i) Programme of the Prime Minister’s Office organised the ‘Innovation Showcasing-2018’.
Additional Secretary of Power Division Maksuda Khatun presented a keynote paper highlighting 16 proposals of different power related companies and organisations.
Chaired by Power Division Secretary Dr Ahmed Kaikaus, the function was addressed, among others, by Principal Coordinator (SDG Affairs) to the Prime Minister’s Office M Abul Kalam Azad and Secretary (coordination and reform) of Cabinet Division NM Ziaul Alam.
Appreciating the adoption of innovation in the power sector, Nasrul said the Power Ministry is going to take Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and integrate e-filing system.
“We have a target to provide service as early as possible. Innovation should be implemented,” he said.
The State Minister said the government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, always encourages innovation to give better services without any hassle.
