The Power Division gave 600 pieces of N95 masks and one set HFNC (high flow nasal cannula) for the Government Employees Hospital.
Power Division Secretary Dr Sultan Ahmed handed over the masks and HFNC on Tuesday to Public Administration Secretary Sheikh Yusuf Harun.
Speaking on the occasion, the Power Division Secretary said that as part of social responsibility, 25,000 kits and 50,000 PPEs have already been handed over to IEDCR under the leadership of State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid.
Meanwhile, the Power and Energy Ministry provided 14 sets HFNC for Barishal division, he said.
“Besides, 500 N-95 masks were preserved for Kurmitola General Hospital and Kuwait Bangladesh Maitri Government Hospital each,” Dr Sultan said.
Public Administration Secretary Sheikh Yusuf thanked the Power Division and said the process of upgrading of 72-bed Covid Government Employees Hospital to a 500-bed one was underway.
Official concerned were present at the function, the release added.
