Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said we achieved hunger and poverty free Bangladesh following the commitment of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina .
Bangabandhu daughter Sheikh Hasina declared to build the country without hunger and poverty . He said before the next national election, the percentage of poverty wll come down to single digit which will be eliminated totally gradually. Information Minister said the percentage of poverty in 2008 was 41 percent when Awami League formed govt which now downed at 20 percent .
With the relentless efforts of the present govt, Bangldesh now a hunger free country. Country now attained self sufficiency in food productions and Bangladesh now thinking to export rice , so we can say Bangladesh is free from hunger, he added.
