Bangladesh Poultry Industries Central Council (BPICC), an apex body of seven poultry associations, has launched Poultry Media Award-2016 which will be distributed today at CIRDAP auditorium, said sources close to the industry on Tuesday.
The award comprising prize money, crest and certificate will be given to the journalists, who participated in the competition from different media, for best reporting on the poultry sector.
Editor in Chief of Ekushey Television Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul, Editor of Bhorer Kagaj Shyamal Datta, Professor and Chairman of Mass Communication and Journalism Department of the Dhaka University Professor M Mafizur Rahman, Associate Editor of Dainik Prothom Alo Abdul Quiyum and Business Editor of Jamuna Television Sajjad Alam Khan Topu also will present at the prize distribution ceremony.
Earlier, the journalists of newspapers, news agencies and online, television and radio and poultry magazines were invited to submit their poultry related news which had already been published or broadcast by August 25 this year. The programme will start at 10.30 am.
Entrepreneurs of all the leading poultry industries of the country including the representatives of breeders and feed associations and backward and forward linkage associations as well as government and non-government organizations will attend the award distribution programme.
